Quintet playing original music that completely crosses & plays with dramatically different genres of music and mix them together.

The music is inspired by todays stream of information with rapid changes, and people’s collective increasingly lacking ability to focus on one thing for a longer period of time. Therefore, this is an attempt to put modern jazz to fit into the attention span of people who are used to “scrolling”. This results in music with rapid and dramatic changes between different things.

Lyrically, ALL IN explores themes of belonging and inclusion, focusing on feelings of exclusion due to identity measures such as gender, class, sexuality, and ethnicity. Inspired by W.E.B. Du Bois’ concept of “double consciousness” — the experience of seeing oneself both from within and through the perspective of society — the project examines the complexity of identity and the strength found in multiple perspectives.

The music seeks to highlight diversity as a source of connection and enrichment to society through its lyrics and through its openness to its own embraced diversity of genres.
